United Freezer & Storage Company, a real estate and warehouse company is seeking a maintenance team member in Youngstown, Ohio.
Position Overview
Reports to Warehouse Manager – The role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to maintain a food and personal safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:
-
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance (e.g., HVAC systems, lighting, etc.)

Repairs and Troubleshooting:
-
Repair and replace faulty general warehouse items
-

Safety Compliance:
-
Conduct regular safety checks to identify potential hazards and resolve issues promptly
-
Maintain a clean and safe work requirement by removing obstacles and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials

Become Safety Director for organization
-
Hire Ameri Safe on an as needed basis for mock OSHA inspections
-

Facility Upkeep:
-
Assist with upkeep of warehouse building, including doors, loading docks, and floor conditions
-
Installation of doors a plus but not required

Inventory Control:
-
Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies and parts
-
Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and available for use when needed
-

Collaboration and Communication:
-
Work closely with warehouse operations and other team members while performing job duties

Report significant maintenance to Warehouse Manager and suggest improvements

Documentation and Reporting:

Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and replacement parts

Generate maintenance reports to assist in budgeting and planning for future repairs or upgrades

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred

Proven experience in warehouse maintenance or similar technical field

Knowledge of warehouse equipment

Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
-
Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices

Excellent communication skills. Both verbal and written

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Flexibility
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces

Comfort with working in a fast paced environment
Work Environment:

Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards with warehouse operations

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Grounds Maintenance: Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manners may include mowing, trimming, and weeding lawns; maintains grounds maintenance with snow throwers at doorways and spreading salt during winter months

Forklift Operator Team Member
United Freezer & Storage Company, a real estate and warehouse company is seeking a Material Handler and Forklift Operator team member in Austintown, Ohio.
Qualifications

Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of warehousing experience

Position Summary
Forklift operator will report to the Warehouse Manager to accommodate multiple customers’ warehousing requirements for cold and dry storage needs. This position is responsible for safely operating forklift equipment to load and unload various materials in a warehouse setting. The role will require communication and paperwork with drivers, as well as, attention to detail and the ability to navigate tight environments with inventory product. Individuals are always expected to maintain a clean warehouse. Standard shift is 7 AM - 3:30 PM with overtime opportunities and requirements as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities

Safely and accurately load, unload, pull and store palletized and non-palletized inventory.

Coordinate with co-workers to ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.

Mark material with identifying information using appropriate method.

Accurately record materials transactions and produce corresponding documentation.

Comply with and assist in future development of safety and food defense programs.

May occasionally be assigned to cover remote location in Sharon, PA.

Assist with facilities maintenance duties as needed.

Keep organized and clean work areas.
